Simplify OAuth implementation for authorization servers and protected resource servers

OAuth, the open identity federation mechanism, is rapidly becoming the preferred authentication method for accessing Web-based resources. OAuth allows the user to gain authorization via a trusted source, by swapping login credentials for an authorization token.

This video demonstrates how Layer 7’s OAuth Toolkit uses the SecureSpan Gateway to simplify OAuth implementation for authorization servers and protected resource servers. Specifically, it shows how the Gateway is able to:

• Issue and validate security tokens in a variety of formats and structures, depending on the requirements of the specific OAuth implementation
• Use SAML assertions to enable Web browser SSO capabilities for integrating with Cloud-based services
• Support a range of OAuth standards, as well as a variety of signature methods and encryption formats
