OAuth 2.0 Tutorial 1: Incorporate an Existing API & Identity Provider

Use an existing identity provider to enable delegated authorization for an exposed API

Use an existing identity provider to enable delegated authorization for an exposed API

This video tutorial demonstrates how to use the Layer 7 OAuth Toolkit and an existing identity management system to enable delegated authorization for an API. It provides an example of how the OAuth templates provided with Layer 7 Gateways make it possible to leverage existing resources in a new OAuth deployment.

Specifically, in the example demonstrated here, an exposed API is protected with basic username and password authentication. The goal is to expand usage of this API to external applications using OAuth for delegated authorization, without having to set up an entirely new identity management system.
