Salesforce has become all-but indispensable to enterprises across industry sectors. Consequently, many organizations are starting to confront the question of how enterprise users can be provided with secure and reliable access to a SaaS application. One answer is to enable users to access the SaaS application via the enterprise’s Single Sign-On (SSO) system.

Integrating Salesforce into on-premise SSO makes it possible to:

  • Manage Salesforce identities locally at the enterprise
  • Leverage Salesforce’s federated identities functionality
  • Ease integration of Salesforce into on-premise systems

This video demonstrates how Layer 7’s CloudSpan CloudConnect Gateway enables secure, reliable Salesforce SSO. With CloudConnect, it is possible to generate a SAML token whenever a user signs on against the local identity store. This SAML token can then be sent up to Salesforce for authorization.
