Enforcing Fine-Grained Entitlements in SOA

Integrate diverse security models for effective Web services IAM

Integrate diverse security models for effective Web services IAM

Web services deployment is typically complicated by questions about access: Who stays out? Who gets in? The problem is that, despite the name, Web services are not really about the Web. In the SOA domain, questions of authentication and authorization are vastly more complicated than they are on the Web.

Web services and SOA are all about integration – most obviously, the integration of different data, operating systems and architectures. They are also about the integration of different security models: SAML, passwords, digital certificates, Kerberos, proprietary tokens and more. The list is vast and diverse.

This video explains:

  • How enterprises can securely integrate diverse IAM systems
  • How scalable Gateways, decoupled from the applications themselves, empower enterprises to efficiently achieve the level of integration SOA demands
