He is the author of Building Hypermedia APIs with HTML5 & Node and is a regular speaker at leading industry events on the subject of API design, Web application development and cloud computing. Mike is also an organizer for the RESTfest, a well-respected community event dedicated to supporting those interested in software architecture for distributed systems.

As Layer 7's Chief Architect, Francois Lascelles aligns the compay's product evolution with field trends. Francois joined Layer 7 in the company’s infancy – contributing as the first developer and designing the foundation of Layer 7’s Gateway technology.
